ENSICO was founded to promote the acquisition
of CT skills more effectively.
Alert the Portuguese society to the importance of widespread access to a quality education in computing, in which children and young people can learn and exercise what will become a vital capacity to act in the digital world in which many of the experiences and cultures are built.

We strongly believe that incorporating computing into the first twelve years of education can promote equity and enhance scientific and technological literacy.
ENSICO is building a structured framework for integrating computational thinking into K-12 education with a particular emphasis on mathematical modelling and the functional programming paradigm.
ENSICO is aiming to create emotional connections with the students that allow for the exploration of computational themes in a funny and pedagogically effective way.
